This lighter and sleeker Kevlar Explorer counterpart offers more speed, acceleration, glide and efficiency. The in-stock boat is white. If I could only have one canoe, the explorer would be it. Tracks well, tuns well and comfortable.

A sophisticated hybrid layup of Kevlar©, fiberglass, carbon, and core is shielded by a tough gel coat and formed into the moderately rockered shallow vee hull, providing the balance of efficiency and seaworthiness that has become the hallmark of the Explorer. This canoe is expedition-proven and expedition-worthy but fully accommodating for the family, the fisherman, or any aspiring paddler new to the sport. Used to make body armor, Kevlar boasts a tensile strength 5 times stronger than steel and tremendous impact absorption and tear resistance.
