USED 1959 OLD TOWN CANVAS/CEDAR STRIP CANOE

I purchased this Old Town Canoe from the estate at an auction from the original buyers grandson. I have the original production document showing Canoe No. 169123X was Half Built on JUL 16 1959, was Canvassed on JUL 23 1959 and that it shipped June 2, 1960 to Homer L. Thomas in Ely, Minn.
I also have the original 1960 Ontario Provincial Parks permit from the couples 1960 honeymoon trip to what is now Quetico Provincial Park.. It comes with one of the original paddles, portage yoke and roof rack that was purchased with the canoe. The canvas was redone by the owners grandson in 2008. I have not had it in the water since I purchased it. I will regret selling this.

The boat is absolutely Beautiful. It is just like the canoe our neighbors (the Commiski's) had while I was growing up on Lake Washington. She treated that boat with Kid Gloves and I always admired the love and care she had for that canoe.

This canoe can be paddled but it is worth more as a work of art to be displayed. Hang it in the rafters at the cabin or in your store as a prop.
